ARKONA is located at Serena Upolu land and shares a nice homestead with FACEDESK and FIND THE FISH. The land owner is Djembe Dragonfire, creator of FACEDESK.
ARKONA is specially inspired by a national culture brand created by Viktor Savior in 2019. After some time, he met Orpheus and both guys put creative efforts into the ARKONA brand.

Tara: How did it all begin?
Viktor: It all started quite interestingly. At the time, I was playing RP in the French Magritte of the 18th century and found that I had nothing to wear to create the image of a nobleman. Even in the marketplace, there was nothing that suited me. I had to buy full perm and texture it myself, suits and hats-tricorne with feathers. By the way, even after 5 years, these costumes are bestsellers in the marketplace.
Over time, we have expanded our collaboration with other designers and are very happy about it. For example, with TARA we create stunning collections where our outfits get a stunning elegant addition with unique bags made by Tara. I can say that against the general background of the mainstream, they are real haute couture items, masterpieces of art, and also beautifully thought out, inspiring elegant creative styling. Even if you don’t like wearing regular bags, TARA is something you will definitely want to try!
Tara: Why "ARKONA"?
Viktor: I wanted to give my brand a bright and powerful name that would reflect the depth of traditions, respect, and knowledge of history, and have a unique Slavic pronunciation. I love the history of my people. I deeply respect other cultures. I think it is very noble to preserve and increase cultural values, share this with others, and study history. Arkona is a large ancient Slavic city, which was previously located on the island of Rügen (modern Germany), was a great spiritual center, and also a cultural and trade place of the Ancient World. We are trying to make our ARKONA the same Center for those who value and understand the Culture and Traditions of different countries.
Tara: What are your brand's values?
Viktor: Brand values. First of all, we set our goal to preserve and develop the national culture through the creation of a unique style of clothing. We always study history, values, cultural heritage, ornaments, and details before starting to make a new collection. For me, it is a matter of honor to bring and show a unique story embodied in ethnic or modern clothing (depending on the shape of the mesh). We are happy to work with Model competitions, Stylists, and our favorite Bloggers who give us their love, support, and creative aesthetics, helping us move forward and inspiring others to do the same.
We put creativity, freedom, and personality first.
Arkona is not a fashionable mainstream, these are unique artistic products with an ethnic soul and poetry that inspire you to be better.
Tara: What are your plans for the future?
Viktor: I want to start by saying that in 2024 we took a "vacation" from all the shows we did in previous years. The Unity modeling agency was merged with the Unity Art creative art group. This certainly gives more opportunities for everyone to grow and develop in different directions and expand their circle of acquaintances. This year we focused on developing our ARKONA brand, creating new amazing concepts and collections that have not yet been in SL. We take part in large charity events such as Fantasy Faire, Fandom Con, had exhibition stands at SL21B. Now we are preparing for the fall season and the Renaissance charity event. We'll see what happens next.
What I can say is that we will continue to develop our vision and try to change global fashion by bringing more cultural, respectful, and aesthetic attitudes.
We have a lot of ideas for implementation and are looking for a partner - a mesh creator who would like to create a national theme and work together.
Tara: What did you do before meeting with Viktor? How did you join Arkona? What does working together mean for you?
Orpheus: Before I met with Viktor I was still a model in training back then, and then I became a seasoned Model working in shows for many known agencies before I retired. Meeting with Viktor was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I got. Later on, knowing him better and spending time together having many common interests, such as photography, art, history, and much more fitting well.
Joining Arkona it came naturally and unexpecting at the same time. It started as fun trying to make a texture for a Greek Toga (known as Chiton). There have been many Greek items in the SL market but it didn't feel right to me (I am a Greek myself), so I was given the chance to try making it based on historical Greek artifacts to make my version and Viktor was happy with the result of it. With this chance given I got "unlocked" a skill in SL, I didn't know I was good at, becoming part of the ARKONA as co-designer and co-owner.
Working together with Viktor we managed many great things together, creating wonderful collections that can stand out for their quality and love for the detail. Each piece of cloth that comes into the virtual life has much love on it. When it comes to National clothing, there is much research and attention to the details and patterns that are used, with great respect for each culture. For me personally, it is a form of "work therapy" when I get to work on a new texture.
Later on, Viktor encouraged, and supported me to make *FIND THE FISH* tattoos, through ARKONA had gave me the first step to growing.

Tara: What is your favorite design you made for Arkona? What is your favorite style?
Orpheus: The truth is that I like each design equally; it is hard to pick and say which is my favorite. (smiles). When you get to see your texture come to life, it is a priceless feeling each time. I do though like many of Viktor's designs that feel special to me.
My personal favorite style to work on is Fantasy, National/Historical, and Ethno.It is always a wonderful experience to dive into a new culture or a fantasy theme while doing research about it. While working on the project, I enjoy listening to music that represents the theme or is in the national language, allowing myself to become a part of it for a while. The results are definitely worth all the time spent in the end. Another style I enjoy is Slavic clothing, with decorative motifs that bring a breath of fresh air to each garment.
I really wish in the future more Full Perm designers to release more national/historical clothing.

"For me, Arkona is a creative project that we create in a team of the best and closest people. This is an opportunity to express your creativity, and artistic vision and influence the existing mainstream fashion, offering something different and excellent. I am very grateful to everyone who stands and works next to me, receiving happiness and joy from joint activities. I want to express special gratitude and love to Orpheus, he is a part of my soul and heart, a stunning inspirer and assistant.
It happens by itself: when you get an idea to create something, bring the thought to life, see a good result, and want to share it with others. The next step is when you start "playing" with a new thing, making different styles and fashion looks and, of course, capturing it all and making beautiful pictures. And this is already ART. So everything is interconnected, design, style, fashion, art, promotion, and communications ... A blog is a very broad concept and everyone finds their goals there.
I can say that the blog for Arkona has turned into one amazing project: the Book of Fairy Tales. This is a collection of Tales of Legends from around the world: Europe, Asia, and America, with stunning illustrations and text. It exists in SL and you can view and even buy this unique edition.
My favorite styles are National, Ethnic, and Fantasy. I really love national costumes and love to create various heroes from books and films. The problem is that in SL, against the background of general commodity saturation, there is practically no wide national segment, although this topic deeply affects each of us, motivating us to preserve and develop culture and traditions.
My favorite things in Arkona ... perhaps these are Russian national shirts.
In 2024, we focused more on brand development and the creation of new collections, as well as participation in large SL charity events, such as Fantasy Faire, SL 21 and Hop and Shop, Fandom Con, Renaissance, perhaps there will be something else by the end of the year. Now in August, we are celebrating Arkona's 5th Anniversary and there are many gifts and a Photo Contest on the schedule! Join us and participate together! Thank you!"

"Arkona for me is a different store oriented to the design of diverse styles from periods, themes, and ethnic groups that with their versatility of styles make the difference in SL. Arkona is art, dynamism, color, style, and elegance in each of its designs.
I decided to blog for Arkona because I had the great opportunity to meet its creator and designer Viktor Savior who from the beginning treated me in a friendly way and guided me like a father step by step. I met the Arkona brand through Market Place, I just fell in love and went to the store and that's where it all started, I got to know the brand little by little and the first thing I blogged was the Astara dress which is simply beautiful.
I definitely like the different styles of the several periods. At the moment my favorite styles are the Fantasy ones like the Astara Dress, the goddess dresses, the Poppie gowns that I love, the art dresses with designs, and the fairy costume.

"Arkona is more than just an ordinary shop in SL - on my first visit, I was given a very friendly, almost family-like welcome. What particularly fascinates me are the unusual and special clothes, the textures, some of which are hand-painted, and the concept of combining several ideas. It is very difficult to find folkloric, ethnic clothing in SL. Arkona also has a love of detail, a fascinating choice of colors, and, in collaboration with Orpheus and Tara, even the smallest details and accessories such as tattoos and handbags in the same style create a total work of art.
Be blogger for Arkona, oh, it wasn't really a decision that I weighed up for a long time, but rather a very spontaneous one due to my visit to the shop. I like taking photos and am happy when I can help friends present their creations to a wider audience by photographing and interpreting them.
It's almost impossible for me to single out a single item here - anyone who has ever browsed through the shop will agree that the eye likes to linger on the different and sometimes very colorful items. Personally, I love the "Infinity" dress, the texture is gorgeous and really invites you to dream. It is more than a simple texture - it is a true piece of art that has been immortalized here on a dress.
The national, ethnically inspired dresses are also beautiful, immersing you in another world and creating a sense and appreciation for the origins and homelands of others.
I would like to wish the entire Arkona team all the best for their 5th anniversary. Thank you so much for letting me be a small part of your world. I look forward to working with you in the future.

We all love runway fashion shows. All comes alive with music and high expectations, but much laggy and much effort and nervous with the organization. Whoever once was there on stage knows that part very well. For the Arkona Celebration, I wanted to have something different to showcase all the beautiful stylings that our stylists-bloggers made and pay our gratitude and attention to everyone, not being seen for only a few moments on stage but for a longer time.
All of our team are great stylists and professional fashion models. We made a VIDEO for every participant, with special music, and different view angles, so you may enjoy a real fashion show on the SCREEN as long as you want with no lags and crashing.
