SHOPPING GUIDE
Intro from Tara:
Every year, I embark on a personal "Journey of the Star" (where "Tara" means "a Star") through the regions of Fantasy Faire and share a review of my favorite experiences.
I am not an official Fantasy Faire Blogger; instead, I provide an independent review that reflects my personal opinions.
I do not use items from the Blogger's Room in my styling. Instead, I utilize items that my friends, who are creators, have given me for blogging, or I purchase them myself at Fantasy Faire.

INTERVIEW WITH BUILDERS
Ithildin and Gwen were very kind to answer my questions together.
Tara: What is your Inspiration to create your FF world? What is a Story behind your building?
Ithildin and Gwen: First of all, our sim has a general theme that connects us both. We love music - just as we share a love of books
and stories -> which was the theme of last year's sim.
In addition, our Sims always have a mix of a certain depth and intensity, as well as a form of lightness and an almost childlike, naive joy. This year the background idea is the little fairy Malaya, who enchants music, objects and sounds out of pure mischief so that in the end almost nothing sounds as you would expect it to.
The inner, bright and pastel-coloured part of the sim symbolises the transition - the rainbow bridge, the place where suffering and pain are forgotten. the memorial, the place of loving memories of all those we miss and also memories of the past Fantasy Faires.
Tara: Is there any secrets or interesting places or inner events at your sim, what visitors must see/find/explore/try/take a part in there is a story line to follow?
Ithildin and Gwen: As every year, there is much more to discover at Beins than just the traders and their shops. We endeavour to create sims that invite you to leave the beaten track and explore. Other light sources, various references and decorations to the world of music, the shape of the Roleplay Class, sounding xylophone and piano bridges, seating, an orchestra, a pavilion with pictures, animals that make very strange sounds, ... and much more. Just take your time and wander around.
Tara: Do you have an own brand/shop? Can you tell a few words about it? What do you create and what style you like more?
Ithildin and Gwen: ~*Sweet Revolutions*~ & ~*Telperion Design*~ -
We make things that are an integral part of our Fantasy Faire Sims, including trees, plants in general, decorations, buildings, animals, small scenes, occasional attachments, furniture and anything else we can think of.

HOLI
As you step into the enchanting Holi region, a vibrant tapestry of colors greets your senses, wrapping you in its joyful embrace. This Indian-inspired haven is alive with the spirit of celebration, as the locals gather to partake in the beloved festival of colors,
known simply as Holi.
Everywhere you look, laughter dances through the air, mingling with the swirling clouds of colored flour that rise like joyful spirits. People sway to the rhythm of cheerful music, their faces adorned with vivid hues that reflect the essence of the occasion. It’s as if the very earth rejoices, bursting forth in a riot of reds, blues, greens, and yellows, transforming the landscape into a living canvas of joy.
Amidst this breathtaking celebration stands the majestic Tiger, the revered protector of the Holi temple. With eyes that gleam with ancient wisdom and strength, the Tiger watches over the festivities, ensuring that the joy and love of the festival remain untainted.
As lanterns flicker to life, their soft glow illuminating the faces of revelers,
the Tiger guides them down toward the sacred river.
This river, shimmering under the moonlight, is a spiritual conduit, where the whispers of wishes float like petals on the water's surface. It is believed that the spirits of the river hold the dreams and aspirations of both the citizens and visitors, safeguarding them with a gentle, nurturing touch.
As you participate in the celebration, you'll feel the warmth of community envelop you, a surge of love that transcends the mundane. In this moment, the barriers of self dissolve, and you find yourself a part of something greater—an eternal dance of life, color, and spirit. Here in the Holi region, you are reminded that joy, like color, is meant to be shared, cherished, and celebrated together.

MIRE OF WHISPERS
In this enchanted realm, shadows dance beneath the sprawling canopies, whispering age-old secrets to those brave enough to wander. The air is thick with the perfume of damp earth and wildflowers, mingling with the sweet melody of distant chimes. As you tread softly along the winding paths, the fog curls around you like a silken veil, revealing glimpses of elusive creatures gliding between the towering trees.
The swamp, alive with a symphony of croaks and rustles, sings tales of ancient magic to the unwary traveler. Each sound seems to echo with a forgotten language, weaving an intricate spell that tickles at your senses. As you lean closer to the shimmering waters, iridescent lilies sway gracefully, hinting at the mysteries concealed beneath their delicate petals.
Then, amidst the ethereal glow of twilight, the swamp fairy appears—a vision of wonder with wings like spun glass. When her translucent touch brushes against your skin, a shimmering portal opens before you, pulling you into a world where every leaf tells a story, and every ripple in the water holds a promise of adventure. Here, time dances to a different tune, and magic is as real as the heartbeat of the forest itself.

IZUMO
Yamata no Orochi (八岐の大蛇, the Eight-Headed and Eight-Tailed Great Serpent)
is a dragon in Shinto mythology.
According to legend, after his expulsion from the Heavenly Fields (Takama no Hara), the Japanese mythical hero Susanoo descended to the Hi River, today's Hii in Izumo Province, where he met an old man, an old woman, and a girl crying. The old man introduced himself as Ashinazuchi, the son of the senior kami of the Ooyamatsumi Mountains. The girl was Kushinada-hime, a female kami and Susanoo's future wife. When asked why the family was in such grief, the old man replied that he had previously had 8 daughters, but had to give each of them, down to the last one, to a monster - an eight-headed giant serpent.
YAMATANO OROCHI
The place where you now stand is the setting of one of the most dramatic battles in all of Japanese mythology.
The ancient god Susanoo descended here to rescue a weeping maiden named Kushinada-hime.
He intoxicated the beast with sacred sake, lulling it into slumber—
and at the very moment he severed its final head,
from the last tail emerged the legendary sword: Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi.
This sword would later become one of the three Imperial Regalia of Japan—
a symbol of the nation’s very soul.
The Orochi that now shimmers before you is no mere monster.
It is a sacred embodiment of fear and divinity, a living myth breathing before your eyes.
As it rises from the pool of glowing light and water,
listen closely—with your ears, and with your heart.
MAIN TEMPLE KUMIHO / DOUX| Phedora / GABRIEL /
This is a sacred space modeled after the main hall of Izumo Taisha.
The massive shimenawa above marks the boundary between the divine and the mortal world, its size symbolizing the immense power of the gods.
Flanking the entrance are two komainu—guardian lion-dogs.
Animated with subtle motion, they evoke a sense of spirit awakening within stillness.
INASAHAMA
This is Inasa Beach.
In the old lunar calendar's tenth month, known as the "Month of the Gods," it is said that eight million deities gather on this very shore.
In the distance, you see white-robed figures standing silently—
a reenactment of the Kami-Mukae ritual, the Welcoming of the Gods.
As twilight falls, Shinto priests line the sand with torches in hand,
their voices rising in solemn norito—sacred chants calling to the divine.
Though no physical form appears, the air shifts. The sea grows still.
Many believe the presence of the gods is felt in that moment,
not seen with the eyes, but known with the heart.
And now, you stand on the very sand that may once have touched the feet of gods.

YUUM BAALAL
INTERVIEW WITH BUILDER
Tara: What is your Inspiration to create your FF world? What is a Story behind your building?
Nama: I wanted to do something BIG with a sense of scale and use that place to make you really feel like you're in this whole space away from the rest of the world. The underlying Mayan cultural inspiration with some modern elements thrown in kind of makes it a celebration of time, reverence for nature and the peaceful beauty of solitude. As for the "lore" type of story, I try to tell that with the environment.
Tara: Is there any secrets or interesting places or inner events at your sim, what visitors must see/find/explore/try/take a part in there is a story line to follow?
Nama: There is a bit of storytelling in the environment of the sim that people could miss a bit of if they don't explore everywhere. On the west side of the sim, right when you enter, you can take the grassy path to go into the main cave, or you can take the dirt path the other direction and come into a smaller cave that has a tiny window to overlook the main cave. There's also ladders, rope and boards in this cave, implying people have been exploring here in the past and they found the grotto. Which leads into the scene right before you enter the main cave on the west side, where the expedition blasted their way into the cave to gain entry.
There's more evidence of explorers having been in the cave by the waterfall off the main path. But there's also no evidence that the explorers stayed, or even made it out of the cave. All of their equipment is left, so why? On your way out toward the Junction there's another small inaccessible cave that might hold the answer to that!
Also, as a fun little addition, I've added the fishing game I had on my pirate sim last time if anyone would like to go fishing again. There's not as much water, but there's a few good spots!
Tara: Do you have an own brand/shop? Can you tell a few words about it? What do you create and what style you like more?
Nama: I own the Static shop where I make all kinds of accessories, clothing and props for scenes or
the home. Generally I go for darker, sometimes morbid themes but I love to create high fantasy themed things as well. Magic and mystery is the best combo!

INTERVIEW WITH BUILDERS
Kadaj and Jani were very kind to give me their sincere answers.
Tara: What is your Inspiration to create your FF world? What is a Story behind your building?
Kadaj: Every time Janire and I create a new Faireland, memory and remembrance are at the heart of our vision. We all gather here united for a common cause: some to fight cancer, some to support those in the battle, and some to honor the memory of those we’ve lost. Our regions are shaped by that shared experience.
Harmonious Glade was born from the desire to craft a peaceful haven, woven through with magic. What better symbol of eternal harmony than music? We imagined a place where an everlasting symphony drifts through a lush, elven land (a theme close to our hearts). It's a tribute not only to beauty and fantasy, but to the enduring power of memory and connection.
I’ll keep the story of the region brief: a detailed notecard awaits by the landing point, ready to unravel the Glade’s history with care and precision.
Harmonious Glade is home to the Ehl'ari, an ancient elven people once devastated by the Unweaver, who claimed far too many of their kind. Yet the Ehl'ari chose not to dwell in silence or sorrow. Instead, they honor the lives lost through symphonies and songs, melodies imbued with magic and memory. These harmonies gather at the heart of the Glade, in the Harmonious Theatre, a big structure shaped like an organ. There, music breathes life back into the land, nourishing it in a never-ending cycle of remembrance and renewal.
Jani: Sadly, there are dear people who leave us, but at every fair, we remember and celebrate their lives and their memory. That is our inspiration every year.
Harmonious Glade is a magical forest where melodies drift through the air, echoing the memories of those who have passed. In this enchanted place, every rustle of leaves and chirp of birds becomes part of a symphony—a harmonious tribute to lost souls. The wind carries the voices of the past, guiding travelers along winding paths that lead to places of melodic remembrance. Within this tranquil valley, the echoes of ancient elven songs linger, gently honoring those who have journeyed beyond. Towering, timeworn trees stand as guardians of memory, their boughs resonating with soft, haunting tunes that whisper the stories of the departed.
Tara: Is there any secrets or interesting places or inner events at your sim, what visitors must see/find/explore/try/take a part in there is a story line to follow?
Kadaj: Each year, we remain devoted to honoring the memory of Fairelanders who have sadly passed, as well as beloved ones from our First Life. Traditionally, we set aside a dedicated space where visitors could reflect, remember, and pay their respects, a place that naturally came to be known as the “Memorial Area.”
This year, however, rather than confining remembrance to a single spot, we chose to let it bloom throughout the land. The entire region has become a living memorial. Scattered across the Glade, you’ll discover Nethermoon Harps, each one playing a gentle, unique melody, each one dedicated to someone cherished and gone, but never forgotten.
Jani: Throughout the region, several harps are placed in different locations, each one playing a unique melody. Every harp tells a story through its music, honoring a loved one who has passed away. These songs are more than melodies—they are tributes filled with memory and emotion. As the notes drift through the air, they invite us to pause, reflect, and celebrate lives that touched our own. Together, they form a symphony of remembrance, woven into the heart of the fair.
Tara: Do you have an own brand/shop? Can you tell a few words about it? What do you create and what style you like more?
Kadaj: I do! I'm the owner of Harshlands. I am specialized in fantasy and medieval landscape, decor and gadgets. This year Harshlands have witnessed its eleventh spring, with a growing friendly community of amazing people. Aside from selling my wares I am truly passionate about engaging our community with events like treasure hunts! Everyone is welcome even just to have a stroll in the land of Dragonstone!
Jani: Belle Epoque is a women's fashion boutique that draws its essence from historical vintage and fantastical aesthetics. Its collections evoke past eras with a dreamy, romantic touch, blending elegance with whimsy. From flowing silhouettes to intricate details, each piece tells a story of timeless charm. Alongside its vintage roots, the store also features select urban-inspired pieces, adding a modern, streetwise twist. Belle Epoque is a haven for those who seek fashion that transcends trends and sparks the imagination.

As you stroll through the village, the fragrant embrace of lavender dances in the air, a soft whisper of comfort that wraps around you like a gentle hug.

GWATH
INTERVIEW WITH BUILDER
Tara: What is your Inspiration to create your FF world? What is a Story behind your building?
Amethyst Ytelde: We are inspired by the beauty and art of the elven world and the many facets projected by the varied types of elves that inhabit the fantasy realm. We also draw from real life architecture innovators and cinematic visionaries. The environmental mood of Gwath was very important in this year's build as it drives the mystery and ominousness of the Dark Elf way of life. Before we had any forms on the workbench there was a lot of discussion about color schemes, materials and other visual elements that would immerse visitors in this lifestyle.
As far as story goes, this is the fourth installment (fifth if you count the destruction of Mithlumen from the machinima serial, Harland Quinn and the Omega Hex) in our series of worlds dedicated to the history and cultures of different factions of elves. Although we have our own narrative in our minds for the story of our worlds we hesitate to dictate what visitors may imagine. We hope that the design conjures stories for everyone who visits. For those who enjoy a bit of storytelling, Sidhe Fairlander has, once again, graced us with her poetry to convey the story of one brave and rebellious elf. Her story can be experienced through a mini quest that is available to join at the landing platform in Gwath. Sidhe will be reading her works of Gwath as well:
Monday, April 21st @ 2pm SLT
Sunday, April 27th @ 5am SLT
Tara: Is there any secrets or interesting places or inner events at your sim, what visitors must see/find/explore/try/take a part in there is a story line to follow?
Amethyst Ytelde: There are places to explore, hidden things to find and many twists and turns to discover throughout Gwath. I won't say much more than that so I don't spoil any surprises. I will hint that there is a collectible egg again this year for those who find it.
Tara: Do you have an own brand/shop? Can you tell a few words about it? What do you create and what style you like more?
Amethyst Ytelde: Our stores are Scarlet Fey (lower floor of the sponsor castle) and ~Jeanette's Joint~ (up the spooky curved stairs).
This year you can find a treasure trove of new designs at Scarlet Fey and stock up on some classics as well as gorgeous elven home decor items. Don't miss the Gwath attire and new skin available there and the cuddly elf plushie!
~Jeanette's Joint~ introduces new throwable Unity weapons (grenades) as well as discounts on a a set of Gwath-appropriate classic skins. Our role play realm is also featured up there with information on how to become a part of Sindaria-Chronicles. We are recruiting for some administrative roles there too! This is a great chance to get in on the action!
We hope to see you around Gwath and, most importantly, we hope you are inspired and delighted with what we have presented..

XALREN
Xalren is a very interesting region and it is impossible to understand it at first glance, because the concept laid down by the builder is much deeper and more complex. You need to walk slowly and see the full symbolism and all the details that create the world of Xalren.
This is an apocalyptic robotic fantasy world, a devastated stone city with a secret mystical sect of Priests. "Big Brother is watching you."
This is a land without hope and under the strict control of the Chosen Ones, who set their own rules and have their own view on the revival after a terrible catastrophe. That was my first impression. To find out the original concept, read the interview with the builder of the region Stabitha Nightwish.
But I wanted to continue this story in my own way and bring new hope to this difficult world. Bring the Star of Dawn, which will illuminate the space around and cleanse the air, water and earth, as well as the souls of people with new hope and love.
Prayers are most needed by those who need them.
Light is most needed by those in darkness.
Rebirth always follows destruction.
