LUMINARA by Sedona
LUMINARA by SEDONA
I first encountered Sedona through her Books, or rather, it happened in 2025 at SL22B, when I was reviewing the Fairytales Book installation for my friend Viktor Savior.
And of course, I glanced at the nearby location and saw a stunning little house full of books—a veritable Library!—and the books were very interesting, addressing the very issues that concern each of us, the answers and advice we seek to find to all our inner questions (especially when there's no one to talk to in the vast world of SL).
I was truly impressed by her deep understanding of psychology, which comes from her wide personal experiences and knowledge. Everything Sedona writes about reflects what she has lived through, and I believe it will resonate with your soul as well. Read the books and visit her Luminaria sim, where you will discover a vast world for your soul, find many answers to your questions, receive support, restore your faith in yourself, and gain knowledge on how to improve your health—and that's the most important thing!
Sedona opens the door to a new world for you and warmly welcomes you, supporting your journey toward self-discovery.
WELCOME TO LUMINARA
Explore. Reflect. Discover.
MAIN LANDPOINT
While you walk around, following the forest paths, touch the mirrors, find the hidden keys, and interact with anything that says "Touch Me!" Who knows what secrets or wisdom you might unlock?
Enjoy your journey!
Be sure to pay attention to the advertising poster at the entrance. It might be exactly what you need right now.
Roots and Rituals, Spring Apothecary series. First gathering on March 21st. Weekly Herbs gathering every Saturday at 9 AM SL.
You can walk along the forest paths, slowly, without rushing, taking in everything around you—believe me, it's worth it!—You'll find so many interesting and surprising details and objects to interact with! Animals, birds, trees, rugs, bridges, water lilies in the pond, water sources, mirrors, and even simple grass on the riverbank can all offer you opportunities for interaction and self-reflection.
In doing so, your soul will no longer feel alone in the vast world; it will finally discover its true home.
For those who have already traveled on foot and want to quickly reach the correct location, there is a sign at the entrance listing the names of the places.
* Apothecary (Green House)
* Reading House (Library)
* SoundBath (Spiritual Meditation)
* The Cave
* Dance Circle (Rituals)
* Drumming (Native American Wisdom Circle)
* Meditation (Buddha's house)
We'll visit each location later in our journey and get to know its unique features.
And now I'd like to invite you to meet Sedona, the person who created this amazing world, brought her vision to life visually, and continues to refine and improve it every day.
INTERVIEW WITH SEDONA
Tara: Tell us how it all began? How did you come to create the virtual world of Luminara? And why did you choose this name? What does this project mean to you personally?
Sedona: Since my first days in Second Life, I felt a pull to share.
Back in 2010, I didn’t have a plan. I was trying to find myself and heal. I just knew I was drawn to creating spaces and sharing things that helped me understand what I was going through.
Second Life has seen me through a lot. A divorce. Loss in my family. Real-life moments that changed me.
I took long breaks over the years. I stepped away, came back, and stepped away again.
Then one day, I decided to buy a full SIM, with no real knowledge of how to build one.
And somehow, it turned into this.
Every space I created along the way held layers of healing, growth, and knowledge I was gaining for myself. As I changed, the Sims changed.
Luminara is where it all came together.
I wanted to add one more thing. I’ve always been a bit of a lone wolf by nature. I spend a lot of time on my own thinking, processing, and creating, and that space is where a lot of this comes from. Luminara wasn’t built from a plan; it came through experience, through working things out, understanding them, and turning that into something others can step into if they need it.
The name, to me, connects to enlightenment. To understanding. To those moments where something clicks, and you see things differently.
That’s what I felt, and that’s what I wanted to share.
And I don’t think it’s finished.
We never really know what the future holds, or how Luminara will continue to evolve.
Tara: What is your favorite place in Luminara? I understand this is a difficult question, but where would you recommend someone coming here for the first time to start? What are some special features or hidden surprises around?
Sedona: It really depends on where I am mentally.
Lately, I’d say the Sound Bath and the Greenhouse. One helps you slow down, the other helps you reconnect.
If someone is coming for the first time, don’t rush it.
Walk the paths. Let yourself notice things. Sit somewhere for a minute.
There are small details and hidden interactions throughout the sim. Things you can touch, things that respond, things that don’t stand out right away.
That’s intentional.
It’s meant to be explored in your own time, not all at once.
Tara: What events are taking place in Luminara? What are your plans for spring and summer, and how can people learn about them? I'm sure many would love to attend, but they may not know where to find information about the events.
Sedona: I’m starting to bring more structure into Luminara now.
The Roots and Rituals series is a 12-week experience I’m guiding. It’s focused on herbs and simple, grounded practices, and then I’ll see what unfolds from there.
We also have a meditation every Friday at 12:30 SLT in the meditation area.
Spring and summer will be more focused on connection. Smaller experiences where people can actually feel something, not just attend and leave.
Right now, the best way to stay updated is through the signs at the entrance, in-world notices, or by joining my group, The Self Healer Journey.
If group space is full, there’s also a subscribe option available.
I’m keeping it simple while I continue to build and expand.
Thank you so much for this lovely interview, Sedona.
SIM LOCATIONS REVIEW
READING HOUSE
Welcome to the Reading House (Library).
A large house with a red tile roof sits on the shore, surrounded by tall pine trees. As you approach the house along a forest path, you're first greeted by a woodpecker, who taps at a poster and draws your attention to "How to Read Books." Be sure to read it; it will help you.
The house creates a sense of calm and freshness, thanks to the abundance of green plants surrounding it. It offers a nurturing and secure atmosphere. With an abundance of light and fresh air coming through the open windows, a small fire adds warmth to the space. Soft blankets and beautiful, comfortable furniture make it easy to relax and fully enjoy reading a captivating book.
The topics you'll discover in the Library are vast and varied, and everyone can find something they care about or find answers to their inner questions. In the books, you can read about psychology and magic, plants, herbs, and the cosmos, self-reflection and working with your body and soul, emotions and addictions, friendship and love, self-development and liberation, working with energies and crystals, social connections in the RL and SL, feminine and masculine embodiment and expression, fears and how to overcome them, and much more.
DANCE CIRCLE
Welcome to the Dance Circle—a sacred space where movement becomes transformation. For centuries, dance has been a bridge between the physical and the spiritual, a way to release, awaken, and connect. Here, every step is a prayer, every motion an offering to the fire of renewal.
The circle represents cycles—of life, of energy, of change—where the body speaks what words cannot. Touch the mirror to reflect on your inner truths, or the floating key to unlock new paths of self-discovery. Let the fire center you, the rhythm move you, and the dance guide you back to your most authentic self.
I'd add that this is a highly spiritual place, where you can feel the true manifestation of the Forces of Nature in its powerful, wild (in a good sense) manifestation, like nowhere else. The Spirits of the Totems are present here, and the Spirits of the Ancestors communicate in this space.
The Earth itself resonates, and the Vodoukh vibrates here. As you participate, you become one with the vast Universe, allowing you to grasp the Essence of everything around you. The circle dance encourages participation and energy exchange among participants, allowing you to truly feel this connection!
APOTHECARY (GREEN HOUSE)
Welcome to the Alchemy Greenhouse. Touch the jars of herbs to learn their secrets, explore books from the Let's Talk About series, and touch the Tarot Wall to discover the meaning behind each card. Visit the candles, mirrors, and hidden keys for deeper insight.
Learn about Reiki, essential oils, astrology, numerology, runes, and more. You can also speak privately with Noah, our AI guide, if you seek even more. Magic and discovery fill every corner and let your journey begin.
I'd like to add that this is a unique place, full of magic and wisdom, where meetings and events will be held (see group posts). The interior is designed in a techno-natural style (based on an abandoned hangar revived and filled with life by nature), reflecting the state of modern people – outwardly existing in a highly technological world, we are often empty and need "revitalization" through natural sources of wisdom and knowledge. Deep reflection and comparison are encouraged. Just think about it and make the right choice for yourself.
DRUMMING (Native American Wisdom Circle)
Step into the Native American Wisdom Circle, a sacred space of ancestral knowledge, reflection, and connection. The campfire burns as a symbol of warmth, storytelling, and transformation. Gather here to honor the wisdom of the past and the power of shared experience.
Near the water’s edge, run your mouse along the ground to find the sit option and begin a Qigong practice, harmonizing your energy with the flow of nature. Each element in this space offers its own lesson—stand close, explore, reflect, and honor the wisdom within.
To receive a message, stand close to the object you wish to interact with and touch it. Touch the Native drum to feel the heartbeat of the earth. Seek guidance from the Indian Chief and his wisdom. Learn about healing and protection from the bear. Embrace adaptability and resourcefulness with the fox. Discover the meaning of dreams by touching the dreamcatcher.
THE CAVE
This is more than just a cave; it is an entire complex situated in a grotto along the riverbank, making it fascinating to explore from every angle. Above the grotto, there is a large house that features a magnificent room on the second floor, filled with books, comfortable sofas, and cats! The house is completely animated, and you'll never expect where you'll end up! (See menu.)

MEDITATION - Buddha's House
Farthest away on the other side of the sim is the Buddha's House, a place of meditation where Eastern wisdom meets mindful tranquility and the smooth flow of energy and time. Here, surrounded by nature, cute animals, the sounds of waterfalls, and gentle rhythms, you will find your inner harmony!
SOUND BATH
Meditation cushions (for one or two people) will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the process and deeply experience a new level of spiritual development. Give it a try!

Event: Seasonal Herb Series ·
Where: Alchemy Greenhouse · Luminara
Dates: since March 21 and the ROOTS AND RITUAL event
Every Saturday at 9 AM SL
WHAT IS IT AND WHAT FOR?
This space was created for people who feel drawn to plant medicine, to older ways of knowing, and to the idea that what grows from the earth has something real to offer us if we slow down enough to listen.
Spring Apothecary is an offering for the turning of the season and the plants that rise with it.
WHAT IS SPRING APOTHECARY?
Beginning on the Spring Equinox weekend, Saturday, March 21st, I will begin sending out the Spring Apothecary herb note-cards throughout the spring season.
Twelve weeks.
Twelve plants.
Each week, you will receive a notecard dedicated to a single herb chosen for that moment in the unfolding of spring, from the first bold greens pushing through cold ground all the way into the warmth of late spring.
Each card goes deeper than a simple introduction. Inside you will find the plant's story, how to prepare teas and infusions, ways to cook with it, how tinctures and extracts are made, and ideas for working with the plant in a ritual or spiritual context.
These are not surface notes. They are meant to be kept, returned to, and explored over time.

ROOTS AND RITUAL
Weekly Herb Gathering
Alongside the Spring Apothecary notecards, I will host a live gathering every Saturday at 9 AM SLT here at the Alchemy Greenhouse.
During these gatherings, we spend time with that week's herb together. I share what I know, what I have experienced, and what feels alive about that plant in this moment of the season.
After that, we simply talk. Questions, stories, reflections. Whatever the plant brings forward that day.
You do not need to know anything to attend. Curiosity is enough.
Watch your group notices for a reminder each Thursday or Friday before we gather.
