Today I want to invite you on an amazing journey and visit the past and get acquainted with the history of one magnificent country. We can all express our sympathy for the Asian region and a lot of events in SL are dedicated to a particular country, for example, Japan or the whole Asia-Pacific heritage. But with all this, we all know very little about China, its history, heritage and culture, and it is this country, as a huge and strong empire for many centuries, that has had a huge cultural impact on all the surrounding countries of the Asian region.

In SL we can explore and admire some of the historical locations. But it all depends on the skill and point of view of the creator and designer, what and how he wants to show and express for visitors, what image of the country and the message he wants to convey.

To be honest, I was in complete admiration when I ended up in Chang`an. This is one of the truly rare historical places in the virtual world, where you can really get acquainted with the culture of the country in the smallest detail and feel admiration and respect for the creator of this place

Chang`an is a city with a large area with Watch towers, the Imperial Palace, a Trade Quarter, beautiful parks and a Temple on a hill. This is a harmony of details, lines, colors based on Feng Shui.

We start our journey from the main square, where we see a map of the city and an advertising board. and of course, the first place we will go and pay our respects is the Imperial Palace.

Wide staircases with snow-white marble patterns, statues of guard lions and lanterns create a exciting atmosphere for future.

The Imperial Palace inside is full of calm dignity, stunning splendor and respectful contemplation. soft draperies, golden decor, warm lacquered wooden columns with graceful laconic patterns on the ceiling, doors, partitions, create a solemn atmosphere.

The Imperial Palace has two magnificent suites of stairs that descend on both sides of the palace and lead to beautiful pavilions decorated with wicker furniture, rose bushes and soft carpets.

We can see a beautiful park on one side of the palace, with blossoming trees, emerald grass and flowers of precious hues. Everything breathes and shimmers like in a fairy tale and the petals fly in the air, picked up by a light wind. But in order to get into this wonderful park, we need to leave the palace and return to the main square again.

And here we are waiting for a new journey to the Trade Quarter, which is located to the left of the Imperial Palace. Trade has always been and is the best indicator of a strong power and economic development of the country. And the Chinese are well aware of this, so they pay a lot of attention to the development of the Trading Quarters, making them attractive and convenient for both visitors and sellers.

And now we come to the Palace of Entertainment. And let my Chinese friends forgive me, I don’t know how to understand hieroglyphs, but it cannot be called anything other than the Palace. This is a large, magnificent, richly decorated building, with stunning interiors, furniture, decor. Inside there is a stage for performances and seats for spectators.

Leaving the Palace of Entertainments , we again pass through a large clean square and meet guard lions to go to the other side and get to know the already quite modern Cafe, where everything is familiar to us: and a lot of advertising posters with delicious food and discounts, colorful ads, modern furniture, food, drinks and serving tables. A cute little place of the future in a historic city of the past.

And now we finally reach the park on the other side of the city. Here we are impressed by the systems of bridges skillfully made of stone and the stunning enfilade of lacquered columns with a roof. 

A magnificent pond with lilies, birds, a small waterfall and a beautiful large pavilion. Everything breathes harmony and finds a subtle reflection in all your feelings. It was China that gave the whole world the science of harmony - Feng Shui.

We often stop and admire the nature around, listening to the birds singing, the wind or the sounds of the waves of the sea.

Our journey continues, and we, following the stone winding path, rise to the top of the hill, from where a stunning view of the whole city opens.

On top of the hill is a Buddhist temple with golden statues. A small courtyard with round gates and marble railings, where there is a large bell. In the main temple there are three statues of Buddha and you can sit on the mats and mentally communicate with the deities.
