Unity Art at Dragon Sanctuary

 

Our beloved UNITY ART 2023 journey came to an end and it is my pleasure and great honor to bring you the last article about this amazing collaborative project, created by Viktor Savior two years ago, where about 80 persons from Art and Fashion SL communities took a part.

In my article, I will use the Opening speech by Viktor Savior and photos by Hyaecinte. 

Text will be in two languages: Eng and Russian.

11 Galleries' Presentations are on the ground floor.

UNITY ART is a project in Second Life that supports and promotes art. It brings together artists, bloggers, and creators who have a passion for expressing themselves creatively through art. The gallery is located on a sim named after it and is owned by Jia Dragon Allen, who supports and encourages art development for visitors and residents of the sim.

UNITY ART — проект в Second Life, который поддерживает и продвигает искусство. Он объединяет художников, блогеров и креаторов, которые страстно желают творчески выражать себя через искусство. Галерея расположена на симе с таким же названием, и принадлежит Джиа Дрэгону Аллену, который поддерживает и поощряет развитие искусства для посетителей и жителей сима.

The gallery itself is a large, modern building with two floors, plenty of space, and lots of natural light. It is surrounded by a park, a circular road, and a performance area. 

It has been open for about 5 years and has over 1000 prims available for events. Each exhibitor can use up to 100 prims for their displays. The gallery showcases both 2D and 3D art.

Сама галерея представляет собой большое современное здание с двумя этажами, большим пространством и большим количеством естественного света. Она окружен парком, кольцевой дорогой и площадкой для выступлений.

 Открыта уже около 5 лет назад и имеет более 1000 примов для проведения мероприятий. Каждый участник выставки может использовать до 100 примов для своих экспозиций. В галерее представлены как 2D, так и 3D-искусство.

To celebrate the December round, the gallery has prepared a special presentation featuring 11 other art galleries that have been exhibited throughout the year. The presentation includes information about each gallery, landmark (location) details, magazine features, etc.

В честь декабрьского тура мы подготовили специальную презентацию с участием 11 других художественных галерей, где Юнити Арт имела выставки в течение года. В презентацию включена информация о каждой галерее, ЛМ закладка, журнал и т. д.

Additionally, the gallery collaborates with 12 professional stylists who were previously bloggers. 
Each month, one stylist presents their work at the gallery.

Visitors to the Dragon Sanctuary Gallery have the opportunity to appreciate the collaborative work and efforts of many artists, stylists, and creators who are part of the UNITY ART team. Today we also would like to introduce you to the new creator - Hyaecinte and her Pose store. She is already famous as one of the best stylists, runway models, stage managers, etc. Our stylists use her new poses set, named UNITY, in a honor of the Team. You may try them in person also. Hya also invites all of you at Store Opening party with many surprises and gifts very soon.

I would like to say a few words about this project and the personal experience that I gained from participating in it. 

Firstly, Unity Art gives the opportunity not only to already well-known, but also to new artists to immediately show their works in large galleries, get good contacts, and be able to show their talent and the possibility of personal exhibitions, and not suffer in search of where to show their works with many failures. Thus, this is a huge opportunity and support in the first steps. 

This is giving faith in yourself, your capabilities, and the support of the team and people around you. This greatly motivates the creation of new works and the development of talent. 

Secondly, this is a unique joint project where people from different fields and with different talents communicate and interact side by side. Everyone helps and teaches each other to do better. 

Over two years, some felt their talent in style, some in design, and others discovered the inspiration to create paintings and art. Isn't this the most important thing? 

Thirdly, I would like to note that this project expanded the opportunity to get acquainted with the SL galleries and the works and creativity of the represented artists. Many participants discovered new facets of creativity and made new acquaintances, which is without a doubt very useful. 

Unity Art exhibitions are not discos in the middle of a gallery, they are friendly interactions aimed at communication between people, self-discovery, and talent by listening to calm music. Here it is necessary to note the excellent choice of DJ - Tekillka Irbis. She is an artist as well, and at the same time, she has an excellent ear and a sense of the right melody for each specific event. It was her magnificent musical sets that were the main background and decoration of each Unity Art opening.

For me personally, it was a path to a deeper understanding of the artists’ paintings, each style, and each meaning of the picture. Attempts to see the plot deeper, to complement it with your own character. Very often the result was amazing for the artist himself, who saw a new revelation of his work on my blog. It was a mutual dialogue. Of course, I will miss this amazingly creative work, but I was able to gain this experience and experience amazing emotions through interaction with many talented people.
